This hotel was founded in 1793 and consquently is part of the history of Chamonix. It is in a fantastic location, right in the centre of town, close to all local amenities including the ski bus stop.

More than just a hotel or a brasserie, here you will discover an unforgettable atmosphere, quality service and discreet entertainment (particularly during the après-ski) accompanied by the delicious flavours of traditional Savoyard cuisine. All year round visitors gather at Restaurant L'M to admire Mont-Blanc from the comfort of the sunny terrace.

Furnished in a simple style typical of this region, the hotel's 35 guest bedrooms exude originality and the ambience of tradition and history. Personalised with good taste and style, there are four categories of rooms available: standard, superior, suite or apartment. All include a bath or shower, satellite TV, refrigerator, safe, desk and a hairdryer.

For the last 200 years, clients from all over the world have been welcomed here with warmth and professionalism. If the walls could talk, they would have stories of some of the greatest names in alpinism, many of whom have stayed here. For cosy get-togethers or business meetings, the lounge and a 20 person conference room (with LCD full HD TV set, Wi-Fi, USB & HDMI connections) are also at your disposal.

The Restaurant

The Brasserie L'M offers 160 places in the dining room and a further 220 places on the terrace. The L'M Brasserie offers typical Savoyard cuisine and specialities including fondue, raclette, pela, pierrade, cured meats... Outside, the large terrace facing Mont-Blanc can offer you a snack or a hot meal or simply a glass of mulled wine or a crepe, while soaking up the sun.

Upcoming Events

Chamonix hosts a wide range of sporting events throughout the year. The biggest ones include the Mont Blanc Marathon in June and the UTMB trail running race in August. In March, the Unlimited Festival brings ravers to the mountains while Musilac Mont Blanc takes place a month later. At the end of July, the Cosmo Jazz Festival hosts concerts all around the valley.
