The Dainty Pizza Restaurant

Good value sourdough pizza in the Neapolitan tradition, take away or delivered

Location
Chamonix

Using high-quality ingredients and traditional methods, these pizzas are made with a sourdough crust prepared from mother yeast, two flours, sea salt, water and extra virgin olive oil, then left to rise for at least 72 hours for light, easy digestion. They use San Marzano and Yellow Datterini tomatoes and the freshest fior di latte mozzarella. With sustainability in mind, only a couple of organic meat options are offered, keeping the menu thoughtful and delicious.

The sourdough crust comes from a dough prepared with mother yeast, two types of flour, sea salt, water and extra virgin olive oil - left to rise for a minmum of 72 hours, the end result is a pizza crust that is much easier to digest so you can concentrate on the other ingredients.

They use two types of tomatoes: San Marzano and Yellow Datterini, and sticking with the Neapolitan tradition use only the freshest fior di latte's mozzarella. Plus they are very conscious of the impact the meat industry has on our planet, so only offer a couple of meat options using only the best quality organic meats.

Their pizzas range from the 'Classic' made up of san marzano tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and basil oil, there is 'Purple Rain' so named after the red cabbage used as one of the toppings, for the meat eaters you can choose 'Karakoy' with organic beef, red onion, and parsley or 'Popeye in Puglia' adding spinach and chilli flakes, and they even have a vegan option.

At Dainty Pizza they also recognise that eating with kids can be pricey, so they offer a kiddie pizza which is half the size of a regular. It's a tomato and mozzarella, for just €1 every day from 18:00 to 19:00. (Limited to two kids per adult).

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 18:00 to 23:00.
