This is one of the simplest refuges to access, being just a few minutes walk from the Charamillon gondola at Le Tour. This refuge is for those that would like a secluded get away spot where they can explore the mountains but can still get back to civilization in a heartbeat.
This old farmstead is now used as a buvette or snack stop for hikers in summer and can be found above Coupeau in Les Houches.

A beautiful walk up the Bérard Valley with plenty of blueberry picking, marmot spotting and ibex roaming close by, leads you to the refuge de la Pierre a Bérard.
This refuge is one of the most popular mountain shelters in Chamonix due to its stunning views over the adjacent lake. The surrounding mountain scenery is especially beautiful here at sunset and sunrise.
Open all year this very basic, unguarded hut sleeps up to 12 people (although in busy periods there tend to be a few overspilling onto the benches and floor areas).
With beds for 57 people this is a popular refuge that is fairly easily accessed and gives even better access to some fantastic ski runs, climbs and general fun.
The Gervasutti refuge situated above the Freboudze glacier sleeps up to 12 mountaineers at a time and is equipped with bunk beds, kitchen facilities, dining area, storage racks and a room with a view.
The Refuge du Goûter mountain hut is situated at 3,835m and is a popular starting point for the ascent of Mont Blanc.
The Refuge Cosmique is situated at 3,613 metres and is open throughout the summer months with 148 beds and 10 beds available throughout the winter.

Situated in the Val Ferret valley in Italy at the mouth of the vallée de Malatra, the Rifugio Bonatti has stunning views on all sides and is relatively easy to access at all times of year.
A small refuge with beds for 30 people that is open during the summer months from early June to the end of September.
A chalet restaurant and refuge located at the ski area of Grand Montets, giving fantastic views and access to the Argentière glacier.
