Loriaz refuge (2020m), Massif du Mont-Blanc

Open in summer and winter for either a tasty Savoyard style meal or accommodation for the night while you're hiking or ski touring, this really is a great spot to take a break.

In winter the dormitory sleeps up to 30 people in two rooms and in summer this increases to 50 with the use of a third room. Bedding, linen and pillows are provided but you are obliged to bring your own sleeping bag liner (they can also be rented from the refuge, depending on availability).

There are toilets and washrooms but no shower facilities and only cold water. Be sure to bring plenty of warm clothing in the winter, as the temperature in the dormitories is often only 16 to 18°C.

The refuge offers half-board, B&B or bed only accommodation; they do not accept card payments, so make sure that you have sufficient cash.
