Big Mountain Basecamp Bar & Restaurant

Local craft beer, artisan pizzas and epic mountain views in the heart of Chamonix

Location
Chamonix

Whether you’re hungry or thirsty after a day in the mountains, Big Mountain Basecamp has you covered. Come for fresh craft beer, a relaxed restaurant atmosphere, an on-site micro-brewery, a large sunny terrace, shady beer garden and a take-out beer shop.

Just a 10-minute walk from Chamonix centre, Big Mountain Basecamp offers 20 taps of craft beer. Expect a mix of classic Big Mountain brews (including their own 0.5% NANO IPA), limited editions brewed on site in Chamonix and guest beers from some of Europe’s best craft breweries. You’ll also find a curated wine selection, spritzes, soft drinks and locally roasted coffee.

Alongside the drinks, the kitchen serves homemade artisan pizzas made with locally sourced ingredients, plus burgers, ribs and generous sharing plates.

Inside, there’s seating for around 80 people, while two large south-facing terraces are a firm local favourite. From here, you can enjoy a well-earned beer with uninterrupted views of the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc.
