Nid d'Aigle refuge (2372m), Massif du Mont-Blanc

Just 200 metres away from the top of the Tramway du Mont Blanc

A small refuge with beds for 30 people that is open during the summer months from early June to the end of September.

Reservations in advance for this refuge are obligatory and include half board.

Access is from the tramway du Mont-Blanc from St Gervais, and then only a few hundred metres walk from the end terminus. It's also possible to walk from Les Houches or St Gervais by following part of the pathway of the Tour du Mont Blanc.

Payment is accepted in cash, cheque and bank card - make sure you have two payment methods in case of technical difficulties.

Worth knowing

Sleeping liners are compulsory, they are sold at the refuge if you don't have one.

Winter

The hut is open simply as a refuge and is able to sleep eight. Blankets are available, but there's no gas or cooking facilities. They ask you to leave your payment for the night's refuge in the honesty box and leave the hut clean, closing the door behind you.
