Tunnel du Mont Blanc closure
Maintenance work to be carried out in the tunnel from September to December.
Mont Blanc tunnel will be closed for works from September to mid-December 2025.
For winter 2025/2026 light vehicles, commercial vehicles and motorhomes must:
- either be fitted with metal or textile snow chains in the luggage compartment, enabling at least two wheels to be fitted
- be fitted with four winter tyres
Queues may build up ahead of the Mont Blanc tunnel re-opening in the mornings, so plan your travel accordingly.
