Bighorn Bistro Bar

Craft ales, quirky cocktails, American cuisine and home cooked baked goods

Location
Chamonix

At Bighorn in Chamonix, the food blends gourmet flair with comforting alpine soul. The menu offers dishes like succulent steaks grilled to perfection, smoky ribs, and hearty burgers — ideal after a day of skiing. Fresh salads, seasonal sides and crispy fries round out meals for a balanced touch. Locally sourced produce and fine cheeses enhance flavor and authenticity. For dessert, expect rich chocolate creations or creamy cheesecake. Whether you’re hungry for a filling dinner or a casual bite, Bighorn delivers.

Inspired by ski towns in Wyoming and Colorado, this cosy bistro brings the spirit of home-cooked American cuisine to Chamonix. Each dish is crafted with care, from fresh cuts of meat to produce sourced daily, while breads, tortillas, and desserts are baked in-house every morning by the family team.

Bighorn’s menu combines traditional American favourites with a subtle European twist, delivering hearty, flavourful meals in a welcoming setting. The bistro’s bar is equally impressive, featuring an extensive selection of craft beers, artisanal cocktails, and international wines, perfect for a relaxed evening after a day on the slopes.

Run by Susan and her family, Bighorn Bistro embodies warmth and hospitality, making every guest feel at home. From the first sip of a freshly shaken cocktail to the last bite of a homemade dessert, every element is designed to create a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re visiting Chamonix for adventure or simply seeking a friendly spot to unwind, Bighorn Bistro invites you to savour good food, great drinks, and the unmistakable spirit of the American West, right in the heart of the Alps.

The neighbourhood
