Friendly old fashioned hotel right in the heart of the town
It's hard to find a better location than this hotel, on one of Chamonix centres main streets with everything you need right at your door.
Built in 1914, it's been run by the same family for 3 generations now, and it's grand exterior doesn't fail to impress. Full of rustic charm, many of the original architectural elements still remain visible today and some of the original furniture has been lovingly preserved. A visit to this hotel will take you on a journey back through Chamonix's colourful history.
There are 52 rooms to choose from, spread over 5 floors, some of which have been recently renovated. Ranging from single, double/twin, triple and quad bed configurations, all of the rooms have ensuite bath or shower facilities and views of Mont Blanc or the Brevent. There is also a junior suite that sleeps 2 people, with its own private lounge area and superior double/twin bedrooms that have private balconies with mountain views.
In the entrance hallway of the hotel, there is an inviting residents lounge bar area that focusses around the open stone fireplace, the perfect spot for relaxing and swapping stories at the end of the day. There's also a large private car park at the back of the hotel, and the main Chamonix centre bus stop is just a short walk away giving you convenient access to all the ski lifts.
