Book a family ski trip this Easter in Chamonix

Make the most of your Easter holidays with a ski trip

Every year whether it's early or late, Easter can be a great time for a ski holiday.

Towards the end of the ski season you'll find not only find great deals on flights, rental properties, hotels, and transfers but you may also find cheaper lift passes too. Take a look at why we think you should come skiing 'en famille' this year.

Good value family accommodation

Easter in ski resorts can offer better value accommodation compared with peak February half-term, especially if you book early or look slightly outside the main resort centre. As demand eases, hotels and apartments often reduce prices or add offers like free nights or lift pass deals. You can also find more availability in higher-quality lodging for the same budget. Whilst slopes remain busy, choosing flexible dates or nearby villages can significantly improve value without compromising access to skiing overall experience.

Mountain Restaurants in Chamonix

With warmer weather comes the opportunity to eat and drink outdoors, and you'll have plenty of options at this time of year, without your chips freezing instantly. Soak up the sun as you tuck into your tartiflette and beer on the terrace at one of the many mountain restaurants and bars, or enjoy a piste side picnic if you want to avoid the crowds, and savour the amazing mountain views in relative silence.

Ski Schools in Chamonix

The ski schools will still be busy over the school holidays, but by Easter the afternoons and evenings are much lighter, as a result you get more piste time and bang for your buck. We say hooray to that!

Each individual lift will have its own clock or information board with closing times on, so take full advantage and ski after you finish in ski school until the sun goes down. We also much prefer to après-ski in the warm sunshine.

Airport Transfers in Chamonix

If you’re heading to Chamonix during the busy Easter holidays, booking your airport transfer in advance makes travel easier. Peak-season crowds mean public transport and taxis are often busy, but a pre-booked transfer gives you a direct, comfortable journey from the airport to the resort. You avoid queues, baggage stress, and last-minute uncertainty. It ensures a smooth arrival when flights are busy. Your driver drops you either at or close to your accommodation, saving time at one of the busiest ski periods.

Nightlife in Chamonix

Easter has got to be one of our favourite times to apres-ski, and that's down to the weather. Who doesn't like blue skies and sunshine whilst they're enjoying a well earned drink and soaking up the sun?

OK, it's not guaranteed to be sunny and warm every day in Chamonix, but the chances are much higher at this time of year. Don't forget to pack your SPF50+ sunscreen and lipbalm - and make sure you use it - even for a sunny afternoon après session - we've seen far too many raspberry-red tourists seeking sunburn care in the pharmacy.
