About

One of the highest lift accessed restaurants in Europe, Le 3842 has amazing views and delicious local cuisine.

The menu includes local dishes that change regularly, depending on what's in season - expect Savoyard cuisine made from locally sourced and grown produce. There is something for everyone with a new vegan menu also available. The menu is translated into 45 languages and is available online and via a QR code on the tables.

The restaurant is fully equipped to host seminars, with a capacity for 30 people, a video projector, a white screen and a flipchart.

It's open year-round when the lift is running, except during its annual closure in November. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, online booking is highly recommended. You can reserve a table online via the restaurant's website or their Facebook page.

  • "How High Can you Go - Just when the clouds couldn't break any further, we popped into Le 3842 to check it out and to our dismay there was a table! Only a wee place, the cuisine is quite good and the experience spectacular. Don't let prices dissuade you--think of bringing all these wonderful ingredients this far up a mountain, only to be served by a true gentleman. Do not miss the opportunity! - Trip Advisior
  • "Top of Europe - It is the closest spot that you can set foot on to the highest point in Europe, Mont Blanc..The panorama is fabulous. You are surrounded by the tallest peaks in Europe, looking down to the town of Chamonix that is 2800 meters below..The weather is thin and clean, just above the clouds. Fascinating - in one word." - Trip Advisior
  • "Great Meal Reasonably Priced - We had a great meal today. Prime rib, salmon, chart fish and a gormet hamburger. We'll prepared, presented, and very tasty. Definitely a great time." - Trip Advisor
