This is one of the oldest hotels in the valley dating back to around 1865 when the pioneers of mountaineering took their first steps in the valley. Whist fully renovated and modernised, it still exudes the charm of those days gone by.
The 35 guest bedrooms range in size from single, double/twin to quadruple occupancy. All have ensuite facilities, either with a bathroom or a shower cabin, TV and free wifi. Most of the rooms overlook the Mont Blanc or Aiguille Verte ranges and the hotel is particularly welcoming to hikers and mountaineers, with special rates available on single rooms for guides accompanying clients.
In the evening, guests can enjoy a relaxing drink by the fireplace in the cosy lounge bar and swap stories of the day's activities.
For convenience, the hotel also has a ski room with private lockers and a ski boot drying rack, and for those guests who have arrived by car or bike, they also offer secures garage parking.
The Restaurant
Les Chéserys restaurant proposes traditional Savoyard specialities and homemade pizza, and has wonderful views of Mont Blanc. A copious buffet breakfast is served each morning with special attention paid to the quality of the produce offered, as well as its origin.
