Closure on Aiguille du Midi June 2018
Chamonix lift closes from 17th June to 7th July 2018
The top section of the Aguille du Midi cable car will close from Monday, June 4th, with both lifts closing from June 17th. The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc states an "anomaly" on the cable as the reason for the maintenance closure. This comes only days after the top section reopened on June 2nd.
According to The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc "a new minor default was noticed on another part of the cable" during a routine check on Sunday evening. The planned reopening is scheduled for July 7th.
In the meantime, the Brevent, Flegere, and Le Tour lifts, and Les Houches' Bellevue cable car are scheduled to reopen on June 16th. Summer lift passes are available to buy online now from The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc.
