Snowshoe Day Hikes in Chamonix
Half & full day guided snowshoeing in the Chamonix Valley
Suitable for all abilities and tailored to your group. A perfect way to experience the mountains.
The Chamonix Valley is a beautiful place to snowshoe, and these winter walks are open to all abilities. You don't need to have previous snowshoeing experience, but you'll need to be fit enough to walk uphill at a gentle pace. It's a great way of exploring the winter scenery, and you'll be amazed how quickly you can leave the crowds behind and experience Chamonix's backcountry away from the ski lifts.
Half and full day snowshoeing trips take place every day from mid-December until end of April in groups of up to 8 people maximum. A half day snowshoe walk can be relaxed or strenuous, whichever you prefer. Excursions can be tailored to your ability, so you can either do a family day out for young kids, or if you're already fit and used to hill-walking, you can try one of the numerous snowshoe summits in the Chamonix region.
A full day will allow you to explore further afield, and can often incorporate a summit so that you can enjoy some of the breathtaking scenery that Chamonix has to offer.
This package includes transport in the Chamonix valley, and if you travel out of the valley you will usually be asked for a supplement to cover fuel. The aim will be to try to do trips without using the ski lifts, but sometimes the snow conditions might dictate that you need to use them.
