With all this snow in Chamonix we are starting to think more and more about the winter and al the excitement it brings.
One of those things is the Freeride World Tour...an event for the best of the best in freeride skiing and snowboarding where they have just one chance to nail the best off-piste line down some terrifying mountain faces.
One of the most renowned is the Bec des Rosses in Verbier. A relative newcomer to the freeride scene, compared at least to the neighbouring Mont Blanc range, where freeride has been prevalent since the iconic 'Blizzard of Ahhhs' in the 1980's.
The new film 'The Bec des Rosses - Mountain of Legend' is definitely one to watch this winter, both to get you in the mood for some serious skiing and boarding and to fully appreciate the skill (and balls!) that these athletes have!
