The film Piege-Blanc (White Trap) airs tonight at 20:50 on France 2. It was shot last winter in Chamonix and features a wedding at the top of the Brevent cable car, which quickly turns into a disaster as an earthquake hits.. watch the lift station disintegrate in the trailer..
Speaking to Le Dauphine newspaper, Chamonix's mayor Eric Fournier, said he regrets allowing the film to have been shot in Chamonix. Although it's a work of fiction he doesn't want to portray Chamonix in a bad light.
