CosmoJazz 2017 Programme Announced

Where to watch and who's on this year's lineup

CosmoJazz, the popular mountain top music festival, returns to the Chamonix Valley for its 8th edition this July.

The festival is unique in that the mountains become stages for a mix of Jazz and World music, attracting crowds to venues like the Emosson dam, the Loriaz refuge, the Mer de Glace, Le Charamillon at Le Tour and the mid station at Grands Montets.

There are also a number of gigs in Chamonix itself, in Parc Couttet next to the Maison des Artistes in the town centre, followed by nightly jam sessions.

Side concerts and pop up performances will also take place around town, in cable cars or other impromptu venues, some of which will be programmed and others which will occur spontaneously...

It's free to attend the concerts, although if you don't fancy hiking up to some of them, you'll need to buy a summer lift pass for the concerts at altitude.

You may also want to take a look at the Chamonix bus and train timetables to help you get to each location. In case of bad weather the concerts will be moved indoors.
