This week's report comes from the centre of Chamonix town. Chamonix has a wide variety of shops which cater for almost all tastes and styles.
In the pedestrian zone you will find sports stores as well as fashion boutiques and numerous shops selling regional cheeses and wines. Although the weather has been a bit hit and miss today, the forecast is for a sunny weekend with the clouds clearing and the sun re-appearing. This Sunday the final of the Chamonix tennis open takes place down at the tennis club as the two week competition draws to a close.
