Spring arrives a little early in Chamonix
We have seen a dramatic change in the weather with very warm sunny days and high Spring like temperatures. This has melted the snow in the afternoon and caused conditions on the pistes to be quite slow and sticky but it does make long lunches in the sun an attractive option.
The off piste is also very Spring like and if you want to know how that and other factors effect the avalanche conditions then going to the Avalanche Academy lecture on Monday nights in Le Terrasse is a great idea.
