Chamonix Video Report: 28th January 2010
The Nissan Freeride World Cup, Kandahar and World Juneior Ski Championships all this week
Snowfall and really bad visibility meant that I came back down into town to film this weeks snow report.
The whole town is looking forward to the snow due this week... bring on the powder.
The big story this week is that the Nissan Freeride World Tour comes to town this Saturday. The first event of the tour which was meant to be held in Sochi, Russia was cancelled due to poor weather conditions so Chamonix will be the first event this year.
The Kandahar World Cup takes place in Les Houches this weekend and the World Junior Ski Championships begin on Monday so it's a exiting time to be in Chamonix!
Other big new this week is the construction of a new snow park in Les Houches, so I’ll try and get down there this week to bring you some footage of that.
