When the Aiguille du Midi lift is shut, it's up the Voie Mallory
One hardy Chamonix crew couldn't resist getting in some steep & deep turns in off the Aiguiile du Midi following last weeks snowfall.
The crew, made up from Julien Herry, Francesco Civra Dano, Luca Rolli and Davide Capozzi, set off at a frightly 2:30 am from the Aiguille du Midi car park to make it to the Plan de l'Aiguille at 5:00 am before heading up the near vertical Voie Mallory which landed them on top of the Aiguille du Midi at 12:30!
Solid legs got them down safely afterwards.
