Music, Crayfish and BMX
It looks like it’s going to be another big weekend in Chamonix. All the usual events will be on; Curry night at MBC, wine tasting at Cha Cha Cha and the Sunday barbeque at Le Vert, but on top of that there are a variety of new ones!
Throughout the day on Friday there will Celtic music and dance in the triangle d’amitie from “Celtic” bands from Italy and Canada. That night in Chambre Neuf there is the annual Kraftskiva which is the Swedish crayfish celebration. Long tables will be set up in the bar and crayfish and schnapps will be consumed in vast quantities. Tickets are €29 and are available from the Chambre Neuf. On Saturday the Rock ‘n’ Ride returns to Chamonix and with over 100 riders expected, this year’s BMX demo and party should be bigger than ever! Also on Saturday skateboarders will take over the Argentiere tunnel for the day and skate around to live music from a number of bands. So if you can’t find some fun in there........you probably can’t find it anywhere.
