Chamonix Video Report: 20th November 2008

More snow on the way!!

Imprint
Updated

This week has been very sunny in Chamonix but the temperatures are definitely dropping and there have been quite heavy freezes recently over night. Hopefully this drop in temperature means that when the skies do cloud over this weekend there will be snow fall.

The forecast is that there will be rain on Friday afternoon/evening but that nightfall will lower the temperatures and there may be snow as low down as 600m! Fingers crossed that the forecasters are right and hopefully we will soon have conditions like the Italians have been enjoying in Cervinia.

This weekend there are plenty of options for those in search of snow as Verbier and Val Thorens will both be opening their lifts and it won’t be long now before Chamonix follows suit.
