Mont Blanc Express Train line closure

Bus replacements in effect until 24th June 2017

The iconic Mont Blanc Express train that runs the length of the Chamonix valley is temporarily out of action as new signalling is installed on the line.

Bus replacements will be in operation between now and the 24th June 2017 from St Gervais Le Fayet to the Chatelard Frontiere on the Swiss border.

Find timetables for the replacement services under 'Spring' schedules.

Bikes are not allowed on the buses in the Chamonix valley.

Upcoming Events

Chamonix hosts a wide range of sporting events throughout the year. The biggest ones include the Mont Blanc Marathon in June and the UTMB trail running race in August. In March, the Unlimited Festival brings ravers to the mountains while Musilac Mont Blanc takes place a month later. At the end of July, the Cosmo Jazz Festival hosts concerts all around the valley.
