Compagnie du Mont Blanc re-open lifts ahead of schedule
The Compagnie du Mont-Blanc has announced that the Tête de Balme chairlift has been repaired and the Vallorcine lifts will be running again from tomorrow.
Engineers worked tirelessly to ensure the opening of the Tête de Balme chairlift tomorrow morning
The Chamonix chairlift suffered a mechanical fault on Tuesday which was expected to force the Vallorcine telecabine and chairlift to close until Sunday.
But the the Compagnie du Mont Blanc have worked over-time to replace the bearings on the upper pulley and the chairlift will be fully operational as of tomorrow morning.
The free ski bus will still be running for tomorrow morning but bus service will be back to normal thereafter.
