Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc 2017 Results
Results for each of this year's UTMB races
The final runners of the gruelling PTL and UTMB races crossed the finish line in Chamonix yesterday afternoon, marking the end to the 15th edition of this huge Ultra Trail event.
The 8,191 runners who took part in this year's events came from every corner of the globe, with 87 different countries represented. France, Spain, the USA and Great Britain had some of the highest participation numbers, with runners from as far away as Chile, Colombia, the Philippines, South Africa, Malaysia and Latvia also taking part.
The weather played a large part in this year's race, as it did last year, but for different reasons; In 2016 competitors had to deal with scorching heat and baking sunshine, whilst this year's event saw some races hit by heavy rain and snow, forcing many to drop out early.

UTMB 2017 results
Of those 2,537 who started the 170km race, 1,686 manged to cross the finish line with 851 DNF's (mostly due to the adverse weather). Winning times compared to last year were a little faster as the course was shortened slightly:
François d'Haene (FRA) took the win in the men's race in 19 hours 1 minute, just ahead of Kilian Jornet (SPA) in 19 hours 16 minutes. This result now means that the two men are level on 3 wins each for the UTMB. Third place was won by American Tim Tollefson who crossed the line in 19 hours 53 minutes.
In the women's race Núria Picas (SPA) took the win with a time of 25 hours 46 minutes, just 3 minutes ahead of Andrea Huser (SWI). Christelle Bard (FRA) took third place with 26 hours 39 minutes.

CCC 2017 results
2,155 people took part this year's CCC, with 1,742 finishers and 413 DNF's on the 101km course.
The men's race was won by Hayden Hawks (USA) in 10 hours 24 minutes, in second place was Marcin Swierc (POL) in 10 hours 42 minutes and third place was Frenchman Ludovic Pommeret in 10 hours 50 minutes.
In the women's race, American Clare Gallagher took the win in 12 hours 13 minutes, with Maite Maiora Elizondo (SPA) in second place with 12 hours 26 minutes. Third place was also a Spanish runner, Laia Canes with a a time of 12 hours 47 minutes.

TDS 2017 results
1,818 runners started the 119km TDS race this year, with 1,251 crossing the line and 567 DNF's.
French runners took the top three podium spots, with Micehl Lanne in first place with 14 hours 33 minutes, Antoine Guillon in second with 14 hours 36 minutes and Sylvain Camus in third (surely this should have been joint second?) also with 14 hours 36 minutes.
In the women's race, race favourite Mimmi Kotka (SWE) took the win in 15 hours 47 minutes. Second place went to Frenchwoman Maud Gobert with 18 hours 11 minutes and third place to Ildiko Wermescher (HUN) in 18 hours 20 minutes.

OCC 2017 results
The OCC race saw 1,565 runners set off on the 56km course. 1,468 people finished with only 97 DNF's.
Marc Lauenstein took the win for Switzerland, in a time of 5 hours 19 minutes. In second place, Thibaut Baroniam (FRA) finished close behind with a time of 5 hours 23 minutes and in third place was Ivan Camps of Spain with 5 hours 27 minutes.
In the women's race, Spanish runner Eli Gordon Rodriguez won with a time of 6 hours 12 minutes. Second place was taken by Emelie Forsberg (SWE) and third place went to Amendine Ferrato (FRA) in 6 hours 29 minutes.

PTL 2017 results
The whopping 300km PTL had 116 starters and of those 61 managed to finish, with 55 DNF's.
The winning team this year was "Autourdutrail" with 117 hours, followed by "Montagn'hard3" with 126 hours and "Les Chez RUBIN" with 126 hours.
