Les Houches gets its own microbrewery
Revival of Le Solerey into a new bar, restaurant & brewery
Le Solerey in Les Houches is under renovation which will see the building transformed into a restaurant, bar and apparently a microbrewery.
The building can be found at the foot of Le Tourchet nursery ski area, nextdoor to the ice rink and has just been given the go ahead to be transformed into a bar-restaurant on a ten year lease.
Mayor Xavier Roseren told Radio Mont Blanc that they had two serious candidates looking at taking over the site when discussion began last year, eventually settling on the one they felt best for the project.
Rumours are that the brewery could be a spin-off from much-loved Chamonix microbrewery MBC, but their involvement remains unconfirmed.
Work has already started on the transformation and the new premises should be ready to open to the public in December 2017.
