Tucked just outside the centre of Chamonix, MBC (Micro Brasserie de Chamonix) is a Canadian-run bar and restaurant that's built a solid reputation for great beer, big portions and a lively après-ski buzz. Everything on tap is brewed in-house using fresh mountain water, with four regular beers and a rotating special all crafted without isinglass, making them vegan-friendly.
You’ll find plenty of bar food favourites on the menu, from nachos and onion rings to grilled meats and Canadian classics like poutine. The burgers are a highlight here; choose from beef, chicken, lamb or a well-made veggie option that blends tofu, mushrooms and herbs into a proper patty. You can customise your toppings and pick from regular or criss-cross fries, or swap in a salad on the side.
The portions are generous, the atmosphere relaxed and friendly, and there’s often live music in the evenings to round off the day. If you’re up for a casual bite in a fun setting and maybe a few house-brewed beers while you’re at it MBC is a great spot to settle in, whether you're mid-holiday or winding down after a day on the mountain.
