Freeride World Tour 2017 on Hold
Competition delay - more news on Saturday
The biggest freeride event of the season was due to take place on Saturday here in Chamonix, but we've just been notified that the competition is on hold.
We can only imagine that the delay has been caused by conditions on the mountain, which event organisers will be scrutinising between now and Saturday midday, when a further announcement will be made about when the competition will start.
The riders are in town, settling in to the newly re-opened Alpina hotel and the event village will still be opening as planned on Friday.
