12 Year old girl rescued from Mont Blanc
The child was climbing with her parents at over 4000m
A 12 year old Latvian girl was taken off the mountain yesterday on the Col de Maudit at around 4,000m altitude.
She was climbing with her parents and became exhausted. Her parents called for help and the girl was taken back down to the helicopter base in Les Bois.
Climbing Mont Blanc is a serious challenge for adults let alone children, requiring high levels of fitness, stamina and mountaineering experience. Hiring a mountain guide is highly recommended for those with little experience in mountaineering.
