Chamonix Video Report: 18th September 2008
Facelift for the Aiguille du Midi cable car
This weeks report comes from the base of the Aiguille du Midi and finds Chamonix in fairly Autumnal conditions. The temperature has cooled and while mid day is still very mild the mornings are quite chilly.
The forecast for the appraoching weekend looks pleasant enough though with patchy cloud and mostly clear skies.
The big event this weekend is Chamonix vs. Mont Blanc in the Magnus Leauge Ice hockey. Rivalry between the two teams is fierce and the match, which takes place at 20.30 this Saturday, should be a good one. Wrap up warm, grab a beer and enjoy what is becoming my favorite spectator sport.
