New Flegere Telecabin Set to Open - Late
Same capacity Flegere lift set to open on the 28th of December
After the Compagnie du Mont Blanc (CMB) announced the replacement of the Flegere lift cabins in November, skiers have been eager to see the new lift in operation which is now set for the 21st 24th 28th of December.
As part of the long term investment plan for the Chamonix ski area, the CMB started with investing €500,000 on new cabins for the Flegere lift.
The lifts are now a bright red to fit in with the Chamonix branding and have a lighter shell than the old cabins to make way for glass panoramic windows which should not get scratched like the previous polycarbonate windows.
Unfortunately the list of improvements to the Flegere lift do not fare well against the news that the lifts will not have an increased capacity; 45 persons with skis and bags.
