Mount Manaslu Avalanche Ceremony
Tribute to be paid to Chamonix victims this afternoon at 14.00
The Chamonix skiing and mountaineering community will gather together this afternoon to say farewell to those who lost their lives in last week's avalanche on Mt Manaslu in Nepal.
A ceremony will be held in memory of Ludovic Challeat and Fabrice Priez - two French mountain guides who lost their lives in the slide - and legendary skier and Chamonix mountain guide Remy Lecluse whose body has not yet been recovered.
The ceremony will take place at 14.00 in front of the Maison de la Montagne.
