Chamonix Mountain Rescue Team on Discovery Channel TV Show
Discovery Channel to follow Chamonix PGHM
The Chamonix mountain rescue police, the Peloton de Gendarmerie de Haute Montagne (PGHM), will feature in a six part TV series by the Discovery Channel.
Not strangers to being in the spot-light, the Chamonix PGHM have featured in numerous television shows and even feature in feature length films.
Last year the PGHM were subject of two feature length documentaries by France 3 following the teams rescue efforts in the winter and the summer, which showed footage of the Mont Maudit avalanche.
The Discovery Channel will begin filming in January 2014 and the six one-hour TV shows are expected to air in June 2014.
