The Irish Association of Snowsports Instructors (IASI) have set up an historic agreement with BASS Chamonix Limited making it the first of its' Licensed Course Providers (LCP). This means that for season 2009/10 BASS Chamonix Limited will be organising and running IASI Level 1 and Level 2 Alpine Ski Instructor Courses. These courses will be run by the instructor training arm of BASS Chamonix Limited which is “Parallel Dreams Training”

IASI courses are very well respected and recognised by the international community and the organisation has a system in place that equates to the highest qualifications of the alpine countries giving instructors a pathway from part time instructor on artificial surfaces right through to professional status that allows you to work in Europe.

Parallel Dreams Training has been involved with training ski instructors for a number of years helping lots of people develop their skills and knowledge to help them pass instructor exams in a number of different systems. The Parallel Dreams web site is home of “Parallel Dreams Alpine Skiing” the technical book that supports the IASI system, the PD Vault a 24/7 online resource and Parallel Dreams Training; Instructor training courses.

Commenting on this historic agreement, BASS Chamonix Director Derek Tate says, “this is a great step forward for both IASI and for BASS Chamonix allowing people from a wider geographic area to access these excellent instructor courses. IASI has developed its instructor award system over the last few years and has successfully gained membership of the leading international bodies for snowsport instruction; ISIA, IVSI and Interski. And at BASS Chamonix with our ski instructor training arm, Parallel Dreams Training, we are ideally placed to organise and deliver these courses having established ourselves in the Chamonix Valley over the last five years. We have an excellent track record for organising great skiing courses and boast several IASI trainers on our ski school staff”.
