Cabane du Cerro

Savoyard mountain restaurant originating in 1850 with great views of the Bossons glacier

Location
Chamonix

Beginning life as a refreshment stop for alpinists in the mid-1800s, this small chalet sits beside the Les Bossons glacier at 1,358m.

They serve traditional Savoyard cuisine, snacks and drinks. To reach the chalet, there is a good footpath through the forest from a small parking area just above the Mont Blanc tunnel entrance. Although it gets a little steep in places, the viewpoints over the Bossons glacier nearby are spectacular and well worth the walk.

Open only in the summer. Occasional live music and special soirées are organised throughout the summer. Check out their Facebook page via the link above.
