To mark its 80th anniversary in 2018, the Chamonix tennis club was given the Club Roland-Garros title, awarded by the Fédération Française de Tennis to the best and most beautiful clay tennis clubs in the country.

Founded in 1938, Tennis de Chamonix Mont Blanc recently underwent a €1.5 million investment that saw renovation of two covered tennis courts, adding covers to two further courts, as well as building a connecting tunnel between them. The new courts allow users to play indoors on four of the 15 courts at the tennis club year round. The existing restaurant and sports shop on site were replaced with new buildings, with a reception centre for both tennis and squash players.
