Chamonix town hall has announced a large investment will be made into developing Chamonix tennis centre over the next year.

€1.5 million euros will be spent on renovating the two covered tennis courts, adding covers to two other courts as well as building a connecting tunnel between them. The new covered courts will mean that users will be able to play indoors on 4 of the 15 courts at the tennis club year round.

The existing restaurant and sports shop on site will be replaced with new buildings and a reception centre for both tennis and squash players, to bring the facilities up to date.

An operator is being sought to bring the plans to fruition and to run the whole site and restaurant and the work should be completed by spring 2018.
