Vaudagne road to get resurfaced
Good news for Chamonix road bikers
Les Houches commune have been asking for the re-surfacing of the Vaudagne road for a very long time and finally the Conseil Général de Haute Savoie have given the go ahead.
No more bone shaking descents for cyclists - the pot-holed road is part of many road bikers route up and down the Chamonix valley, as between Servoz and Les Houches the only other road is a dual carriageway which is forbidden to cyclists.
The re-surfacing the plans have been agreed however the roadwork will not be completed any time soon, partly due to the funding of the 2 million Euros required, with the roadworks to be spread over 3 years and completion in 2015.
