Haute Route champions set new record time for circumnavigating the Mont Blanc

Not your usual Ultra Trail / Tour du Mont Blanc route but a tour of the Mont Blanc nonetheless.

The 3 members of the EMHM (Ecole Militaire de Haute Montagne) Laurent Fabre, Yann Gachet and Anthony Fraissard set off from Chamonix at 5:00 in the direction of Les Houches. They traversed the Col du Tricot, along the Glacier Miage to Courmayeur and then back up the Glacier Toule before heading down the Mer de Glace to get them back to Chamonix in time for a beer in the sunshine.

The route that covered 34 kms and 5200 metres of height difference took them 10 hours and 37 minutes.
