Nordic Monster Test

The grand opening of the ski de fond season starts here! Events will be taking place all day, free to join in so come along and find out more about Nordic skiing.

There will be exhibition stands of all the latest cross-country ski equipment with advice from professionals. You can take the kit out to test it on the local trails and, from midday there will even be free lessons on both skating and classic ski de fond techniques. Demonstrations on waxing and caring for your skis will get you prepared for this winter.

Instructors and members of the Chamonix ski de fond club will be on hand to give advice and chat with. You can register to join the club and to buy your season ski de fond pass. Not to mention the famous "MONSTER RAFFLE" held by Ravanel & Co for all participants in the Nordic Monster Test! There are lots of great prizes to be won!

Cakes, crepes, hot drinks and snacks will be on sale to warm you up. There is always a very friendly atmosphere with no pressure to buy or sign up for anything, just come along and enjoy the day.

The events are free of charge with a view to encouraging more people to take up cross-country skiing. It is a great alternative to being up the mountain when the weather isn’t very nice and it is renowned for being one of the most effective forms of exercise you can do.
