It might be set to be a bit of a soggy drive, but the annual Tour du Mont Blanc for classic cars is still set to go ahead tomorrow, Sunday, leaving from the base at the Mercure Hotel in Les Bossons.

With 82 cars taking part, the rallye will set off from the Mercure Hotel on the main road into the Chamonix Valley from 06:30 on the Sunday morning. The first to go will be John and Tom James in their very British Jaguar XK120 Roadster - a truly beautiful piece of British automotive engineering! The last to leave the start line will be a Morgan Plus 4 at 08:00.

To celebrate the 60 years of the 2CV, the Rallye has invited a special guest - Mr Michel Martin, a former Michelin racing team member, who'll be driving a 1973 Citroen 2CV Berline AZ KA round the course. Look out also for Jacky Zaggia in his Corvette Sting Ray - the only driver who has taken part in all 11 Rallye Tour du Mont.

If you're a classic car fan you'll love the 'parc ferme' with many famous marques being represented - MG, Porsche, Mini, Triumph, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Austin Healey, Alpine, Peugeot, Morgan, Citroen, Ferrari, Chevrolet, Jaguar, Mercedes, Matra, Renault, DAF, Honda, Simca, Morris, Opel and Detomaso.

We're guessing you won't be up to watch them leave at 06:30, so you can either watch the cars as they come in (the first is expected back to the Hotel Mercure at around 17:00 the Sunday afternoon) or you can head to a point on the course to watch - just don't forget your waterproof!

The roadbook takes the classic cars to St Pierre en Faucigny, Petit Bornand, Grand Bornand, Saint Jean de Sixt, La Clusaz, Flumet, Les Saisies, Beaufort, Areche, Bourg St Maurice, col du Petit St Bernard, Champex (in Switzerland), col de la Forclaz, Vallorcine and Argentiere.
