Douaniers in protest against redundancies
**Update.. so It seems this hasn't really been happening today. We've spoken to a couple of transfer companies who have said they've not experienced any issues today.. business as usual!**
The Intersyndicale Douane du Léman have decided to block (or lock) the Swiss border for the day on 6th June in protest against redundancies in their profession.
They're calling the action "The Longest Day" in reference to D Day and will be leafletting people with notices saying “Douaniers supprimés = citoyens en danger” (Deleted border controllers - citizens in danger).
Expect busy roads towards Geneva...
