Easyjet cabin crew are planning a strike which could affect flights to Lyon for a 48 hour period from the 12th to the 13th of July.

The cabin crew union UNAC has posted a press release on their website, calling for a 48-hour strike to protest about pay and social security cover.

The strike is scheduled for maximum disturbance as it is timed to coincide with the busy bank holiday weekend that starts on the 14th of July.

Nevertheless Easyjet has acknowledged the announcement by stating that it would do its utmost to avoid any major disruption.

UNAC is hopeful that Easyjet, who employ over 500 cabin crew in France, will agree to a 4% pay rise for staff.
