What do the different abbreviations for lift types mean on the piste map?
Ski lifts are marked on the Chamonix piste map using straight black lines. There are 4 different types (button tow/drag, chair, telecabine, telepherique) and they have the corresponding abbreviations:
- TK = téléski (drag lift, also called a button or tow lift)
- TS = télésiège (chair lift)
- TC = télécabine (gondola, also called a bubble)
- TPH = téléphérique (cable car)
