The residence is in Les Chavants, an elevated area beyond the Prarion ski lift with wonderful open views up the Chamonix Valley and across to the Fiz. It has excellent sunshine hours and is a peaceful, largely residential area.
The lift and lake are just over a 10-minute walk (700 metres), or a 2-minute drive. By the lift, there is a bus stop and bakery (season only) with a selection of restaurants/cafés a further 10-minutes on foot. The nearest supermarket is in Les Houches village itself, a 5-minute drive away.
