Overlooking the Mer de Glace and the magnificent peak of the Dru, this refuge is full of history and many mountaineering tales, although its location makes it a little different to your average Chamonix hotel.
Accessed by the Montenvers train or by the walking trails to the Mer de Glace, once the last train leaves the station to return to Chamonix at the end of the day you are alone in this great place to enjoy the peace and serenity.

A typical alpine chalet that dates back to the 18th century in the peaceful hamlet of Frasserands.
The chalet can accommodate up to 29 individuals in dormitories of 4 – 7 people.

Run by Madam Sophie Rochet, this is a a small and comfortable hostel located only a 15 minutes’ walk outside of Chamonix centre on Route de la Frasse.
The hotel is comprised of the following: 6 bedrooms accommodating up to 4 people, 2 double bedrooms, all bedrooms are equipped with a private washbasin, 5 showers, 5 toilettes, dining room capacity of 32 places, communal kitchen facilities available.
In the summer there are tables and chairs disposed around the cottage, to enjoy the quiet and the landscape. There is a small private parking.
