A teen member of the London 2012 torchbearers will be committing to a charity Mont Blanc summit attempt this summer.

Alex Staniforth is a 16 year old Olympic Torchbearer, nominated for his fundraising efforts which include being the youngest person to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge solo last July.
His Mont Blanc climb aims to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and the Red Endangered Animal Connection Trust (REACT).
Alex will be making his summit attempt with Chamonix guide company Dream Guides, a guiding company founded by record-breaking mountaineer Kenton Cool.

You can sponsor Alex in his latest challenge here, he is trying to raise £4810 which is a pound for every metre of altitude - Mont Blanc height is 4808 metres and Alex measures near on 2 metres!
