Sleeping Israeli Mountaineer Accidentally Alerts the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel
Accidental call for help alerts the French & Israeli Emergency Services
After spending a restless night on the Mont Blanc Massif, an Israeli mountaineer accidentally pressed the emergency button on his satellite phone, which sent an automatic message saying that he needed help to the Department of Foreign Affairs in Israel.
A helicopter was subsequently called for and the French search and rescue teams set off to locate the man, who they found asleep in his tent, safe and well!
