Lognan Lift Watch Part 4

Work is progressing quickly on the new Plan Joran chair lift

By Ellie Mahoney, Updated

Work at Grands Montets is picking up speed. A few weeks ago there was a big hole in the ground, and now the new base station of the Plan Joran lift is taking shape.

Seven Twenty Productions has been on site getting a few pictures of the progress and they shared a video with us of the roof being hoisted into place. Take a look at our facebook page to find the video.

As far as we can tell the hiking / biking routes in this area are still accessible. The only part that's been blocked off is the bottom of the home run where the helicopter has been landing to pick up and drop off equipment. Rachel from Seven Twenty tells us that lots of the new pylons have already been installed, and the old pylons and the old base station station are still in situ.
